This week marks a year of daily videos, a fairly arbitrary milestone that has had almost no impact on my channel, but it brings with it a special state of the channel video too!
The last week’s releases were:
Twitch Stream: Tuesday 18:00 to 20:30 CEST playing Shadowrun: Hong Kong
Pillars of Ranternity
And with that, we wrap up the Grieving Mother’s questline as well. I find it kind of strange that the companion quests don’t seem to have a mechanical impact beyond the XP they provide. Other games have primed me to expect some kind of skill unlock or minor upgrade to the companion and in Pillars they are just quests that end and I guess impact the epilogue.
Heat Signature Challenge Runs
I went into the stream knowing that I was going to be recording the final (at least until new content arrives) Heat Signature Challenge Run, but right up until the start I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I had mistimed it a bit such that the previous week I had closed out a galaxy. So I figured why not see how quickly I can complete an acid cloud from start to finish. The answer is roughly 2 and a half hours.
ShadowRan: Hong Kong
We are reaching the end of pretty much all the conversation chains with our companions and the general populace of Heoi. I have enjoyed talking to all of them and getting their stories, but it will be nice to go from run to run without quite so much conversation in between.
Hint to the Breach
The final island breaks some pretty basic assumptions. You have two chained fights, but enemies, damage and weapon uses are reset between the two and more importantly, you are told you must protect a bomb, but losing it is not a game over, it merely extends the timer, meaning that the grid should take priority.
