I am working from Barcelona at the moment, leaving me with an odd mix of free time but low equipment. I have spent the evenings slowly editing the most of the footage I recorded before I flew out, and conveniently, my friend Syfro finished up editing the games we recorded back in Sydney. Between these two things I almost have enough to cover the gap, but it will mean some surprise changes of games.
The last week’s releases were:
Saturday: Pillars of Ranternity
Sunday: Heat Signature Challenge Runs
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: ShadowRan: Hong Kong
Tuesday: Heat Signature Hot Tips / Ranneko’s Tuesday Tips
Thursday: Ranneko and Syfro Enter the Gungeon
Pillars of Ranternity
Weeks after we were summoned we finally decide to turn up to the adjudication for the dispute regarding our ownership of Caed Nua. Fortunately for us, our rival is even more of an ass than we are. I look forward to him trying force, it will not end well for him.
Heat Signature Challenge Runs
One of the major differences between Heat Signature and games like Hotline Miami is the ability to pause at any time, devise new plans and execute new superhuman feats. Obviously, we need to try removing it. Just how much more difficult does this make the game?
ShadowRan: Hong Kong
Finally we get to properly explore Heoi. We can talk to all of the vendors, spend our hard earned nuyen and generally integrate into the community. Then it is back to committing crimes for hire. In this case investigating a serial killer, sometimes criming gets very complicated.
Heat Signature Hot Tips / Ranneko’s Tuesday Tips
I don’t know how many times I have accidentally fired a grenade just after docking with a ship. An embarrassing number of times. Fortunately, if you are quick, and if you remember. Grenades are just another item you can teleport to yourself or pick up. You even have the presence of mind to stick the pin back in.
This is both useful for getting out of a stick situation and for making a little extra money if you happen to have either a restockable or self-charging grenade launcher, as any non-baseline grenade is worth a little acid.
Ranneko and Syfro Enter the Gungeon
While I visited Australia last year, I met up with Syfro and we actually did some face to face recording, starting with a bit of coop Enter the Gungeon. I hadn’t played the game at all before this recording session which is not a recipe for competent play.
