I am not sure how widely I have discussed this, but most of the recording I do is also streamed up at https://twitch.tv/ranneko. There isn’t much in the way of audience interaction, and thus there generally isn’t much of an audience. The goal is to give me a backup in case I screw up with my local recording.
At the time of writing, I am actually very close to the end of the Ransistance and I am hoping to finish it off before I fly out (At the time of publishing I will already have started the first leg of my journey). I have been having a great time with War of the Chosen but I think it would be less fun if I not play it for a month and then have to get back into the flow right at the end of the game.
With the Chosen weaponry, the new hero classes, the new skill system and the near gear from the Alien Hunters DLC by the end of the game your soldiers are significantly more powerful than in the base game. I am finding the late game missions to be almost a cakewalk. I think if I play again I will try increasing the difficulty level and look at using mods built around upping the danger level.
Have any of you given War of the Chosen a shot for yourself?
The last week’s releases were:
Torment: Tides of Ranmenera
As we head to the heart of the bloom we start to find some it its more secret places. The most touching one is the resting place of Chila the Great. It gives me the sense that the Bloom treasured her above all others, that even this great bizarre city-sized interdimensional predator can get attached to the occasional being with which it bonds.
Last week’s expedition to the Arctic went so well we will head right back. Sure we miss out on a little fame in the process, since the game prizes variety over repetition of biomes but Roald is so well suited to the Arctic.
On the other hand, the game also hands us an impossible sidequest. The Curious Expedition world generator is neither kind nor fair.
Ransistance: War of the Chosen
It is time to start taking out the Chosen. Starting with the most dangerous one. The assassin, her ability to ignore overwatch severely limits my options when she shows up and she never seems to miss with her katana meaning I can’t even hunker down to defend myself better. She dies first, before she can gain too much power.

Stealing guard keys drastically increases your options for dealing with ships that have well equipped guards. It makes you far less dependant on the gear you have been able to buy and expands how you can handle ships. Now you can teleport behind an armoured guard to steal their key, bypass small packs of guards and use whatever limited resources you have on your target in a high sec zone.
