Ranneko Plays Building The Buffer – Channel Update 2017-09-22

It feels like I am always talking about travel in these updates. I am headed to Australia for about a month starting mid-October. As a result, I have a lot of buffer to build. My aging laptop is not up to recording, though I can potentially edit and render on it if I have the raw footage available.

At the time of writing the buffers for each series are:
1) Thimbleweed Park – Sept 30th
2) Curious Expedition – Oct 29th
3) XCOM 2 – Oct 13th
4) Torment: Tides of Numenera – Oct 7th

I want all my buffers to extend to Nov 20th at a minimum. This means I have roughly 17 hours of recording to do before I leave. Definitely achievable, but I will need to start specifically carving out time to get it done.

This week’s releases were:

Saturday: Syfro Saturdays – Ranneko and Syfro Play Thimbleweed Park
Sundays: Curious Ranpedition
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: The Ransistance: War of the Chosen
Tuesday and Thursday: Torment: Tides of Ranmenera

I almost appreciate that you need all four mobile characters to get into the factory, unfortunately nothing really seems to be done with the opportunity save for the final cutscene. Maybe it would have been better to gather the other characters automatically?

There was an unfortunate mishap with Johan Huizinga, mostly that I misunderstood when a save would occur and just lost the entire file. Hopefully Nicola Tesla can do better.

Ambushes are a nice twist to come from the covert ops. A good way to ensure that you aren’t just sending out unequipped scrubs. You don’t even get a chance to review their equipment before the mission loads.
Remember: If you want to join the crew just check the form recruitment form, though as I have been playing a lot lately you currently will not appear until sometime in October at the earliest.

Made it to the Trade Hub! It looks like the Bloom has done a little remodelling. It also seems to be somewhat unhappy with us. Probably completely unrelated to us slicing our way through its maws in lieu of paying their prices. Probably.

We also finally trigger the tour of the space station, it turns out it isn’t triggered by time or anything sensible like that. Instead to allow the tour to trigger you have to try opening the door to the area you have been informed you are not allowed to visit. Obvious really.
