I spent most of the last week in sunny Alghero in Italy. Unsurprisingly this limited the amount of time I could spend recording videos or monitoring the channel.
I did pick up Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle for the Switch aka MCOM and that game has been a blast. I have finished up the story content and only have the 4 Ultimate challenges left to play. It is a really interesting twist on the XCOM formula, with a much higher emphasis on movement, damage ranges, and distinct characters. Well worth a shot.
On the channel, the Ransistance is in full swing and I am busy tying up various character based side quests in Torment: Tides of Ranmenera, it feels like events are coming to a head there which should allow for a shuffle in the channel schedule.
Firaxis has released a free demo that consists entirely of the photo booth, which means there is now a free tool anyone can use to create soldiers that can be imported into XCOM 2. This means I have revised the recruitment form. I have stripped out the overly long second page, if you want to be added you can either just specify a name and optionally a few other basic details. If you want a fully specified soldier, now you can create it yourself and then send me the file.

To get into the factory, we need to repair a watch.
To convince someone to fix the watch, we need to change the music on the radio station.
To get the music for the radio station we need Ransome the Clown to enter (and lose) a Ransome look a like contest.
He will not enter until he has all the pages from his joke book.
To get the last page from his joke book, he needs someone to assist him from his trampoline. But this cannot be just anyone of the characters you control, it has to be Delores, because the other two are not allowed to enter the circus grounds because Ransome is a dick.
Have I mentioned how much I hate the adventure game critical path sometimes?

The new story mission Lost and Abandoned is a pretty cool way to introduce both the Lost and the Chosen along with both faction heroes. It is a long one though, it is pretty neat when they chain together multiple stages like this.
Remember: If you want to join the crew just check the form recruitment form, though as I have been playing a lot lately you currently will not appear until sometime in October at the earliest.

Erritis and his glow are probably my favourite characters in Torment: Tides of Numenera, and there have been some other characters I have enjoyed a lot. A lot of that comes from Scan Thoughts picking up information from the glow though. I wonder if I would have bothered to keep him around at all if I hadn’t been a nano.
