Time to start a new game on Saturdays, let’s go with one that takes place during the age of exploration, where the player has to embark on 6 expeditions and compete to gather the most fame. A very novel concept and definitely not one seen on the channel before.
On a more serious note, it was actually Curious Expedition that got me to play Renowned Explorers, a friend had been playing the former and I realised I owned a very similar game in the latter. I have played around with it a little bit before and watched my friend, which means I’m not going onto Curious Expedition completely blind, but I have never successfully finished a run. Hopefully I will learn over the course of the series.
As always, I am still soliciting feedback on the schedule I will move to once I have some tips recorded, and Curious Expedition is complete. Any feedback or suggestions are very welcome.
Here is the schedule I am currently angling toward:
Mon/Wed/Fri: Long Game Slot
Thurs/Sun: Shorter Game or Oneshot
Sat: Syfro Saturdays
The current schedule is:
Saturday: Syfro Saturdays – Ranneko and Syfro Play Thimbleweed Park
Sundays: Curious Ranpedition
Monday, Wednesday and Friday: Ranneko Plays Massive Chalice
Tuesday and Thursday: Torment: Tides of Ranmenera
Syfro Saturdays – Ranneko and Syfro Play Thimbleweed Park
We’ve gathered enough information to make an arrest. Given the state of the other characters in the storyline and number of questions this arrest leaves unanswered, I am confident that this is the end game.
New game time. The leader characters are all loosely based on real people, already there are so many choices without any real way of knowing what is important or what style of play you are most interested in. On the other hand this is a roguelike, if we choose poorly the game should kill us off so we can start again.
Ranneko Plays Massive Chalice
It seems that I have made a serious error, some time ago my kingdom was running a bit short on male heroes. During this time I had to appoint a new leader to the Caberjack clan, unfortunately I didn’t have anyone to marry them to, and I forgot to check up for the next 30+ years. I don’t know how many caberjacks will be around for the rest of this run. Hopefully adoptions will get us through this little accident.
Torment: Tides of Ranmenera
Looks like we are at the end of act 2, the twist revealed here is pretty cool. I theorised that we could potentially be an amnesiac changing god, but I like this better. It also fits with just how selfish we have seen the Changing God be, not just from the stories of others, but also from the memories of his we have recovered via Amnanesis. This plan fits, I do not doubt it is the true plan.
