The daily schedule seems to be working for the moment, how long it lasts will depend on how well I maintain my buffer. Currently, I have videos uploaded and scheduled through to the 11th of May, with weekends covered significantly longer. In fact, one of the major motivations for moving to a daily schedule was to have an outlet for some of the videos I had already recorded but not had a time to release them. I would really appreciate some feedback on this though. Does the new Ranneko Plays schedule work for you? Is it too much? Which is better fewer games with more episodes each week or more games with a greater chance I am playing one you want to know more about?
The current schedule is:
Saturday: Syfro Saturdays – My Mom is a Witch
Sundays: Ranowned Explorers: International Society
Monday and Friday: Pillars of Ranternity
Tuesday and Thursday: Torment: Tides of Ranmenera
Wednesday: The Ranless Sea: Zubmariner
Syfro Saturdays – My Mom is a Witch
This week Syfro and I started to play around with My Mom is a Witch, an indie title in early access which seems to be intended as a multiplayer Binding of Isaac roguelite game. Is it any good?
No, not really.
Ranowned Explorers: International Society
After a pretty disastrous second attempt, it is time for a third new crew to venture out to distant Iceland. Unfortunately, the pool of initial territories seems to be relatively small, on the other hand, this is true for most roguelike games, the individual events seem to vary much more at least.
Pillars of Ranternity
The Devil of Caroc’s companion quest seems to be focused within White March, so I have a convenient way to learn more about her and by extension the region. One of the major distinctions between Pillars of Eternity and many other western fantasy RPG settings is magic/science of animancy and the Devil of Caroc is probably the most time we will get to spend with someone who is a direct victim of its practice without ethical restraint. I am a bit disappointed that we don’t seem to be able to call Galvino out on this point.
Torment: Tides of Ranmenera
This week we encounter one of my favourite minor NPCs in Sagus Cliffs, Varrenoth, CHAMPION OF THE WASTES. The idea she represents, a group exploring the world through adventurer drones with built-in information safeguards, is one I find both amusing and intriguing.
Ranless Sea: Zubmariner
When I started this run I came up with a simple, possibly too simple, rule. Each episode is a single trip to and from London. Now that I have the funds, ship strength and weaponry, none of Sunless Sea’s hunger clocks really apply anymore. I can easily afford to buy supplies, fuel and crew even at expensive ports. Crew getting scared? Kill a few zee-beasts. Money getting low? Kill some more zee-beasts. Ship damaged? Trade a live specimen to fully repair the ship. Crew getting low? Stop at Khan’s Heart and grab some more. I never actually have to return to London again.
As a result, this episode is nearly 4 hours long, but I did finally get that Fulgent Impeller.
